Quote Team and Systems Manager

Developed concept for a multi-site cost based quote system which reduced time by an average of 40% while improving accuracy among less experienced users. Also provided a method of quoting that reduced time by over 90% with only a slight reduction in accuracy as compared to a fully entered quote.

Coordinated with developers in China, Canada and the US to define and test the program before it was implemented across multiple global sites.

Managed a team of 11 quote technicians in North America, with 3 additional support staff in China.

Created department documentation, conducted training, performed audits, completed corrective actions and conducted performance management activities.

Design for Manufacturing Technician

Assisted customers’ engineering teams on best methods for designing printed circuit boards.

Provided technical reviews of new designs for production capability, reliability and cost.

US Navy, August 1991 – August 1997

Electrician in the Nuclear Power Program

Supervised a department of 25 electricians on the forward reactor of the USS Nimitz.

Administered maintenance plans for over 1,200 pieces of equipment.

Qualified casualty response team leader, nuclear quality assurance inspector, and casualty drill observer.

Other tasks included updating the documentation for the 700+ manuals in inventory and the implementation of a computer based tracking system.
