ENGINEERING PROJECT:

SURFACE ROUGHNESS ANALYSIS OF MILD STEEL BY USING VARIOUS COOLING MEDIUM

Brief Outline:-

In this project mild steel bar was turned by using different cooling medium on center lathe and surface finish was measured. Different cooling mediums used were cryogenic cooling, MQL & Dry Turning. Comparison was made between surface rough nesses obtained by using different coolants. Three cuts were performed with same cutting speed, feed and depth of cut was varied. Best surface finish was obtained by using cryogenic coolant. STRENGTHS:
