PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

FREEMAN XP, San Francisco, CA (Remote Contractor) 2018 - Present CLIENT SOLUTIONS MANAGER

Contracted project manager hired to oversee the execution of events and trade shows as assigned from conception through onsite execution. Duties can include budget oversight, maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, developing and monitoring timelines, and processing work orders to support assigned teams.

ASIS INTERNATIONAL, Alexandria, VA 2016 - 2017

DIRECTOR, EVENTS

Responsible for providing oversight and direction for the operational and successful logistical delivery of all events, including the Annual Seminar and Exhibits program, as well as, Hosted Buyer, and several educational programs executed domestically. Oversaw all event budgets of over $7M, domestically and internationally, managing risks by aggressively negotiating contracts and ensuring expenses remain in line with budgets. Directed a team of meeting planners and trade show professionals; negotiated venue, vendor, hotel contracts and managed the implementation of show design, revenue generating sponsorship fulfillment, and drafted exhibitor marketing and communication plans. Directly responsible for sourcing and negotiating large scale venues for opening and closing conference special events (for example, the AT&T Dallas Cowboys Stadium).

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS, Washington, DC 2010 - 2016 DIRECTOR, CONVENTION OPERATIONS

Directed the implementation of all pre-show, on-site and post-show operational logistical activities for NAB Conventions, the largest netting 1,800+ exhibitors occupying approximately 1M square feet of exhibit space and 100,000+ attendees. Provided high level project oversight and managed an execution team who were instrumental in the development of customer service initiatives, educational programs, event décor and branding, creative meeting and engaging room sets, sponsorship fulfillment, and floor plan management. Oversaw strategic special projects and external partnerships (domestic and international). Responsible for an expense budget across all events of approximately $9M. METROPOLITAN COOKING & ENTERTAINING SHOW, Washington, DC 2009 - 2010 DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS

Managed and performed all operational functions to execute high end annual consumer cooking events and trade shows, including operational and program budgets, site selection, contract negotiations, exhibit and sponsorship management, and staff, vendor, and volunteer management. Directed event operations for approximately 10-15 government technology information events, annually, the largest attracted 15,000+ attendees. Prepared and managed a budget of $7.5 million in revenue and an expense budget of $3 million. Liaised with marketing team on public relations and communications activities relevant to assigned events, including developing and reviewing promotional copy and website content. Collaborated with members and various leadership groups to secure venues and define and develop relevant programs. Accountable for logistical planning of retail technology and advocacy exhibits and sponsorship programs. Developed and managed revenue budgets totaling over $8.2 million and responsible for logistical expense budget of $1.5 million. Identified cross-selling opportunities with existing clients and conceptualized new revenue producing sponsorships and advertising opportunities. Maintained trade show promotional and web site content, ensuring accuracy and creating “excitement” for the event.
