At Expert Plan, a 401K provider we were SOX, FERC and NAESB compliant, as they have to be submitting trades of stocks, 401K loans, etc. Lawson upgrade installation going from 7.2x to 9.x using all of the Lawson tools, Interfacing PKMS and JDA MMS to Lawson’s WMS module which included changes to all systems to get it to work together, Web Sphere, Portal, and LID, set up of Web Sphere on both the iSeries, servers and PC’s. JD Edwards installation (Fixed Assets) and conversion to Lawson. Write and configure tools for user execution, co-existence of Kronos, JDA/E3 conversions to newer releases with Lawson upgrade to 9.x, UNIX systems with Lawson installation. Interfaces with G/L, ETL, Cognos and Hyperion packages (interface feeds from Hyperion to POS employee scheduler tools); and reporting for/from same. Project management with tools such as Crystal Reports 8.0 through XI, Visio, Power Point (w/inclusions), Excel (w/macros), and API’s for interfacing Web/Web Net/Web Sphere programming for functionality between: G/L, Budgeting and Planning, HR, Applicant Tracking, Banking/Transponders, TFR and Government reporting. We wrote shell scripts on the iSeries to and from a Linux system to transfer data to the Linux system for Shop Floor Orders/Order splitting/order combining/Sales and for Lawson (iSeries) to do billing, costing, Purchase orders, Payroll accumulations (commissions) and G/L entries. Note the data transferred was pretty simple; however the programming on both systems was intense. I did most of the iSeries work, however did have to test with the Linux team.
