Building comprehensive Geocellular model in Petrel for stacked tight/fractured carbonate reservoirs with reverse faults incorporating the Pre-Stacked Depth Migration (PSDM) seismic data and well information.

Swara Tika Trends, Sarsang Block, Northern Kurdistan

Built geo-cellular models for Swara Tika structures (Main, East, and West) on Sarsang Block. Geology was highly fractured carbonates and dual porosity, dual permeability models were required.

Performed quality assurance of seismic interpretation data (horizon, fault picks), building a basic velocity model in Petrel using VSP data for wells on the structure.

Faulted structure models were built using pillar gridding. Petrel workflows were used for generating multiple model realizations and volumetric reserves calculations were performed.

Discrete Fracture Networks (DFN) modeling was done based on outcrop studies, FMI log interpretation data.
