Medical Office/Administrative Assistant-Responsible for admitting patients and confirming information is current and correct. Booked any follow up appointments, and testing as required. Ensured any necessary paperwork such as consent forms are filled out properly. Answered phones and dealt with call accordingly. Delivered results and messages to doctor in a timely manner. Received payment for cosmetic procedures and entered in Healthquest. Screened patients prior to seeing the doctor, including visual acuity exam and eye pressure test using the Tonopen, using lens meter and autorefracting as needed. Seated patients in exam rooms and escorted to surgery suite if required. Took photos of patients and placed in charts. Assisted the doctor with all office procedures or surgeries booked, including IV sedation. Advised patients of post-operative instructions, and any prescription provided. Cleaned and disinfected the rooms after procedures. Scrubbed and autoclaved all instruments used. Printed the schedule prior to all surgery days and prepared the containers with necessary articles including gloves, drapes, sutures and syringes. Prepared syringes for the surgical suites. Accountable for the photos to be printed and placed in correct charts for the patients that are seen at the Eye Clinic each Monday. Responsible for the ordering of supplies such as gauze, sutures, eye drops, items pertaining to sterilization, Kleenex, paper towels etc. Restocked exam rooms and surgical suites on a weekly basis. Walked through the office each morning and set up rooms for the day. Loaded the A-Test in both autoclaves, and confirmed test results were recorded properly. Communicated any pertinent matters to the office manager, and aided other staff as needed.


Customer Service Representative-Handle paperwork pertaining to patients, including documents such as: consent forms, booking forms, and specialized papers like Aviation medicals. Schedule patient appointments and investigatory procedures, as well as triaging and sorting patients based on individual circumstances. Ensure steady communication between patients and their doctors; this includes processing payments and ensuring both parties are promptly notified of any changes to schedule. Maintain an organized and

accurate office; keeping patients charts updated on a daily basis and confirming all paperwork is accounted for. Navigating software and key systems: faxing prescriptions, MRI and CT requests, as well as keeping up to date on WCB systems and websites, and Smart Simple system for MVA. Receive and triage referrals for the Neurosurgeon. Check messages and turn on phone system. Provide files with messages or lab results. Enter notes into LPS system if patients call to cancel, or have complaints. Make files for new patients and enter information into the tracking sheet. Check exam rooms, wipe down beds, and replenish supplies and gowns as needed.
