-Conducted network assessments for Customers in the Industrial food and beverage

industry.

-Recommended network upgrades and design changes to ensure that the network

follows the CPwE standards set by Cisco, Rockwell Automation, and Panduit.

-Selected all equipment and standards that were needed to meet the new network

design.

-Created a MS Visio of current network and upgraded network designs.

-Placed the cabling and electrical work out for bid, and help select the best vendor.

-Once the upgrade was approved and purchased by the client, I then purchased all

the necessary items to fulfill the new network as designed.

-Configure and install the new items and configure existing items to work with the

new items. This has allowed me to learn how to configure many new switch brands

(examples: Dell, Aruba, Phoenix Contact, N-Tron, Hirschman, etc.). I also used

devices from Cisco 3850 and 3650 switches. ASA5506 and ASA5508’s were used

between the Industrial and Enterprise Zones, and at the Internet edge for

separation and remote connectivity. Stratix 5410, 5700, 8000, 8300, 2500, and 2000

switches were used throughout the designs.

-Worked with the Project Managers, site contacts, Estimators, and contractors to

install the new network design to the specifications that I detailed.

-Also worked with a number of the applications in the Rockwell software suite

(FTViewSE and ME and all their applications; ThinManager; RS Logix, etc.).

-Built servers for the process control designs. We used VMware for virtualization.

Windows 2012 and 2016 servers, Active Directory for client and user setup, DHCP,

DNS, etc.

-Installed and configured zero, thin, and thick client terminal clients and configured

them using ThinManager from Rockwell Automation.
