TRAINING

Completed industrial training in QA/QC Mechanical with TQ Services – A division of Tata Projects Pvt. Ltd. which includes industrial visits to manufacturer of Pressure Vessel for hands on experience on role of QA/QC Engineer. Areas of Training include Welding Inspection, Piping Inspection, Inspection of Static Equipment and Painting Inspection for following stages of Inspection.

Review of Approved Inspection Test Plan (ITP)/Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Material Test Certificate

(MTC), Approved Drawings, Client Specifications, Approved Procedure and Standards.

Inspection of inward material (plates, pipes, electrodes, etc.) received at stores or yards, visual inspection, dimensional inspection, correlating identification with MTC’s and with applicable codes & standards.

Usage of Precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Inside Micrometer, Outside Micrometer, Bore Dial Gauge, Vernier Height Gauge, Slip Gauges.

Fit-up Inspection:- Inspection of the fit-ups in the in-process stage with respect to visual, dimensional and orientation compliance as per the approved drawings and specifications of Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, Valves, Nozzles as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)

Welding Inspection: - Handling of welding consumable and Familiar with most of the welding processes like SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW & Stud Welding for Carbon Steel (CS) & Stainless Steel (SS).

Control of welding process as per applicable WPS & PQR requirements and with the codes like ASME Sec IX,ASME B31.3, ASME Sec VIII Div-I. Monitoring and expedition of NDT requirements.

Welding Inspection using Weld Guage.

Identification of welding defects like porosity, cracks, spatters, undercut & slag inclusion

The preparation cum maintenance of welder’s performance qualification record and welder’s performance rating thro’ welders and welding control log.

Preparing the punch list items as per P & ID and Isometric such as, Pipe supports, Valves, Guides, Shoe supports.

Monitoring preheating, inter pass temperature, climatic conditions, welding/purging gas, Inter-run cleaning, root run, hot pass and subsequent runs during welding.

Witnessing of DP test, MPI, UT and Interpretation of Radiographs.

Review of Post Weld Heat Treatment chart.

Witness of Hydrotest and Pneumatic test.

Witness of surface preparation before painting for SA2.5 etc.

Painting Inspection for DFT.

Preparation of Documentation for stage and final Inspection as per Quality Plan.

Industrial Visits:- KGN Industries & Unicorn Industries Ltd NDT Level II:-

Completed NDT Level II training at Iqra Quality Services Pvt.Ltd, Hyderabad

NDT (Non Destructive Testing):- I Know various Non-destructive inspection techniques in accordance with ASME Sec V like Visual inspection, Ultrasonic inspection, Radiographic inspection, Radiographic film interpretation, Dye Penetrant inspection, Magnetic Particle inspection and visual inspection.

I Know the Interpretation of the Radiographs as per the approved procedures and the relevant international acceptance standards.
