Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Observes and complies with existing company, codes, policies, agreements, rules and regulations.
2.Conduct regular inspection building, facilities, work areas, tools and procedures of workers to determine unsafe working condition and practices.
3.Investigates accidents by spot inspection and interrogation parties and or witnesses involved to determine cause and prevent recurrence of it.
4.Prepares reports based on inspection, observation and investigation, recommending measures and methods of eliminating unsafe working conditions and procedures.
5.Prepare all required safety reports and necessary data for permit updates.
6.Supervise and mange safety inspection for the entire workers.
7.Participate in emergency response activities.
8.Defining procedures to meet the demands of job specific hazards.
9. Leading the investigation of any accidents or incidents and making recommendations on modified procedures to avoid recurrences
10. Co-ordination and provision of safety training and safety induction to all staff
11. Advising project supervisor(s) and manager(s) on the implementation of safety procedures.
12. Ensuring that all necessary statutory and other records are maintained.
13. Developing within the establishment an atmosphere of “safety consciousness” by example, by discussion, by advice and training.
14.Informing all members of the establishment of the status, requirements and codes of practice for safe-working, of procedures already adopted and of the provision and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and to ensure their observance and proper use; to arrange for the reporting and investigation of incidents with a view to further preventive measures or the dissemination of information to others.
15.Creating awareness of the hazards associated with the use of radioactive materials, carcinogens (cancer inducers), toxic chemicals and other aspects of occupational health hazards and dissemination of this information.
