Job Description :- First Aid Management – In Shock, Burns, Heat Stroke, Heat Exhaustion, Fits, Poisoning, Drowning, Artificial Respiration (CPR) to Unconscious casualties, Trauma cases- wound and Haemorrhage, Control of Haemorrhage from special regions, Dressing application of Roller Bandage and Triangular Bandages To check day to day routine Sick persons and give them treatment, if serious then Repatriate them to nearest port, Radio Medical Advice to be taken from Port Doctor, Abandon Ship, Action Station, Stowage of Casualties and emergency operation station, Transportation of casualties. Medical records inventory, Gas reading in confined space . Maintenance of Eye wash stations & First Aid Kits. First Aid lectures to crews.
Health and sanitation: Sanitary rounds of various areas, prevention and control of water borne, Airborne, Milk borne and other diseases, Personal hygiene, cleanliness, clothing, general cleanliness and sleep of crews on board, ventilation Atmospheric temperature, lighting of accommodation.
