Answer incoming calls from clients that want their taxes done and set appointments for them that work around their schedule and the preparer’s schedule. Upon client arrival, obtain all the necessary items such as IDs, social security cards, and W-2s and make copies to put in their files.

Duties:

Answer incoming calls from patients who owe medical debts to medical facilities. Advise patients about their medical accounts that are in collections, providing dates of service, amounts owed, what they were seen for.

If a patient informs me that they had insurance on the date of service and if the insurance can still be filed I collect the insurance information and take the necessary steps to get it filed. When a patient calls in and after we discuss their bill and they are unable to pay the total balance I discuss with them their options on payment, whether it is agreeing on a settlement or setting up monthly payment arrangements.
