I am writing to introduce myself and express my genuine interest at your company. I am a recent graduate from Miami University, OH with a Master’s in Chemical Engineering. I have worked two years as a researcher on designing and developing methods for efficient chemical processes on a large scale. With my wide-ranging engineering and math skills, superior capacity to tackle complex projects, and proven ability to lead and collaborate in teams, I am confident that I will exceed your expectations from my first day on the job.

Take for example my research skills, within just a year I have managed to publish/submit seven research papers in several peer reviewed journals. From 130 solvents in its database, I have expanded a model to more than 5000-6000 solvents, which allows reduction in the number of experiments required on a large scale.. Several researchers from academia and industry such as (DSM Netherlands), pharmaceutical companies from Brazil are using our tools after reading our papers. This model isn’t implemented in any process simulator such as ChemCad or ASPEN Plus. So as my own project, I developed a free to use graphical user interface that allows calculation of important thermodynamic properties using this model. I had an opportunity to present this software at Mid-west thermodynamics conference and companies like P&G and BASF were interested in picking up this software if more features to be added to it. And recently we got an offer to submit a sub-chapter about our research work in a new edition of “Handbook of Solvents”.

I have refined my strengths as an engineer to translate customer needs into efficient new processes, lower production cost, improve productivity while meeting the company’s standards.
