The Job Responsibilities includes:

Review of sub-contractor’s procedures/method statements

Qualify welding procedures and welders (WPS & WQT)

Coordination with Client, shop inspectors, sub-contractor’s inspectors and site for various types of inspections and for obtaining approval of the same.

Monitors day to day inspection activities, issue and monitor NCRs.

Preparation and distribution of weekly/monthly reports.

Inspection of materials and fabrication of piping accordance with isometric drawings, general arrangement drawing, P&ID, codes and standards etc.

Control over welding procedure performance (preheat; parameter check, visual examination etc.)

Pre and post hydro test line walking.

Processing punch list before test pressure and closing punch list after pressure test

Witnessing pressure tests(hydro, pneumatic, flushing, leak testing)

Daily audits of welding processes and consumable stores

Visual control of quality of welding joints.

Sign off quality control forms after all activities are complete, conformant and required records verified.
