OR Materials Manager January 2018-Present

Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the process of buying OR supplies, tissues and implants.

Cleaning up and maintianing optimum inventory PAR levels in SMART system.

Overseeing the OR Project which includes cleaning up the PAR levels, removing deadstock items from our supply rooms, OR rooms, and from the system. Relabeling of the Picking room and OR Core. Implemantation of totes for case picking.

Managing the OR supply chain techs and the OR Internal Control coordinator and helping them with their orders, timekeeping, and any issues that they may have.

Leading a daily OR huddle with our team to go over upcoming cases and ordering of any supplies or implants needed on a timely matter.

Managing case picking of supplies and work with OR clinical staff and the OR Internal Control Coordinator to maintain accuracy of case picking.

Resolving any order issues and finding an alternative if the order did not arrive.

Responsible for the management of the yearly OR consignment inventory.

Responsible for building, implementing and maintaining all Supply Chain system activities within the Operating Room. Directly responsible for cleanup and maintaining Meditech OR surgeons preference cards and the Meditech OR Dictionaries with respect to supplies. Building of new items in the Meditech Dictionaries. Running and cleaning monthly Meditech Reports of our dictionaries.

Handling of tissue and entering them into the Tissue Tracker and delivering it to it’s area. Removing any expired tissue from the Tissue Tracker and from the location where it lives.

Under the direction of the Operating Room Nurse Manager, I effectively and efficiently schedule OR cases for 12 OR’s and 2 Cysto Rooms
