TITLE: Standardization Of Economizer Coil Manufacturing TEAM SIZE: Four

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF PROJECT:

Economizer coils are used in downstream of boiler bank to preheat the feed water absorbing heat from hot exhaust gases. Cycle time is one of the important factors to be considered in the production line. Cycle time reduction means identifying and implementing more efficient ways to do process. There are two welding process used in this project. During manufacturing process, each layout is made with different specifications for the same assembly, it leads to more time consumption and it requires more space for storage. To tackle this problem, a systematic method procedure is established in this project for planning cycle time reduction in order to enhance the competitiveness in the market.
