Ensures that any goods coming into the hotel are properly ordered and in an acceptable condition.

Ensures that the procedure is in compliance with applicable Hotel’s policy.

Discharges the duties in an effective and efficient manner.

Receives goods from Supplier with the proper and complete documentation.

Verifies the number of items or the weight by physical check.

Examines both quality and quantity of goods received.

Ensures that goods are promptly moved to store or concerned department.

Ensures that outgoing goods are properly documented and accounted for.

Responsible for all the documentation such as the Receiving Record, Receiving Report and the Daily Summary Receiving Report.

Recognizes the name, trade, brand, categories, article, item etc.

Ensures HACCP standards are maintained.

Coordinates with the purchasing department in keeping contact with suppliers regarding to the quality and quantity of goods purchased.

Joins the training program for staff in the area of receiving management.

Maintains a good relationship with suppliers and other departments.

Contacts the security in any case of doubt concerning the contents of the delivery.

Handles purchase orders to ensure that copies of all approved and currently valid purchase orders e.g. purchase requests, market list, standard supply contracts are at hand and files are maintained

Ensures that all items are physically received, inspected and weighed as necessary, in case of technical items, equipment, furniture, and certain food items, the concerned department is consulted to confirm the quality, specifications and materials are inspected, as well as measurements are made thoroughly
