I am a new FNP with over 30 years of Registered Nurse experience. As a new ARNP I have a year of psychiatric experience as a provider. I did psychosocial evaluations, Rx treatment, follow-ups, and family sessions when treating a minor. I hope to continue my education by attending an online program for a post-masters certificate to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. My background consists of years of ER, supervisory, home health experience, and varied other fields in healthcare. I realize that it is easier to hire someone who comes to your business with experience, although enthusiasm, critical thinking, a great work ethic, experience in providing for psychiatric patients, as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner and the ability to work well within a team should be considered as well.
