Responsibilities:

Generating concept for test methods followed by designing robust and cost effective test fixtures, in added to that detailing fabrication & assembly drawings in Creo2.0.

Reverse engineering - Develop working drawings from descriptions/existing physical models.

Revise and update CAD drawings as required.

Coordinated new product design improvement, VAVE evaluations and design changes.

Assisting team in applying GD&T to the drawings.

Maintaining engineering documentation including 3D Modeling, 2D drawing and Assembly instruction via Wind-chill.

Interacting with clients regarding estimation, inputs, queries and delivery commitments.

Responsibilities:

Design of casting parts like enclosures, ear brackets, handles, Fan diverter and field replaceable units using Creo 2.0.

Creation of 3D Model, Assembly and Drawing for a functional process as per Specification, Design Standards and Functional requirements.

Design of sheet metal parts like enclosures, ear brackets, handles, Fan diverters and field replaceable units using Creo 2.0.

Design of plastic and casting parts like enclosures boxes, handles, shield for PCBs and PCB test fixtures.

DFA/DFM constraints have been considered.

Coordinating with approved vendor for customization of parts.

Client: Juniper Networks.

Role: VAVE Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Building cost breakdown sheet across different commodities like castings, sheet metal, machined parts, plastics, rubbers and fasteners.

Performing Tear down, Bench marking, Functional analysis and Cost modeling.

Drive Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) and Design for Cost (DFC) disciplines with the goal of reducing design complexity and increasing product quality.

Perform simple analytical modelling, simulation and analysis at parts /sub system and product levels.

Coordinate with suppliers/vendors on parts/sub systems/ systems manufacturing qualification and documentation.
