Also acquired legal documents that showed the backlog for oil drilling permits was much higher than what had been officially reported.

Investigated the IRS targeting of non-profit free market education organizations for Watchdog.org in 2013 and reported on how this targeting impacted the application process for non-profit tax status. Appeared on Glenn Beck’s Fox News Program to discuss a series of investigative reports into ACORN that appeared in the Washington Examiner.

Broke national news with the Washington Examiner on the rising liabilities within the pension plans of the 20 largest unions in the U.S. in a series of reports published through 2009-2012. Contrary to what was reported to rank-and-file members, several of the funds were considered “endangered” or in “critical” condition, according to government records.
