My name is Taylor Barnes and I am a recent Georgia Southern University graduate with a bachelor’s in Communication Studies. After working a summer job and volunteering on an organic farm I feel ready to thrive and focus on a career that reflects my degree’s qualifications.
My main passions include the arts, proper communication, and a holistic lifestyle that involves minimalism. I gained knowledge of proper communication while studying my major’s classes; some of these classes include Interpersonal Communication, Leadership and Communication, Communication and Gender, Small Group Communication, and General Semantics.

During my sophomore year of college I had to medically withdraw because I was diagnosed with a temporary autoimmune disease called Guillain-Barre Syndrome. After recovering in the hospital and after gaining back most of my mobility at home I had decided to start a shirt designing business on Etsy. All of my shirts are hand dyed, hand painted, and no two will ever be exactly the same; around this time I learned to crochet and have had success selling crochet tops. I have not only sold my shirts online but also to my peers and to customers at festivals. My first clothing design experience was during my senior year at Grady High School when I was a member of the fashion program. My class spent the entire year creating and sewing our fashion line that was presented on a catwalk May 2013.
