ACADEMIC PROJECT TITLE: Fixed Bed Column Study for Removal of Chromium (VI) from Aqueous Solution by Using Saw Dust (Mini Project)

Description: water pollution due to the disposal of heavy metals through industrial effluents in the water bodies is a global concern. These waste streams contain toxic heavy metals such as chromium, cadmium, lead mercury, nickel and copper. Saw dust is used as adsorbent because of low cost and easily available several procedures for removing metals ions from waste water include chemical precipitation, reverse osmosis,ion exchange, oxidation/reduction methods, extraction, leaching and solvent extraction etc. But adsorption is very widely used.

TITLE: Treatment of Industrial Waste Water by Using Electro-Coagulation (Major Project)

Description: Electro-coagulation is a surface reaction. Electro-coagulation is the process of passing electric current through a liquid, using anode and cathode. Electro-coagulation is preferred because the sludge produced is minimum compared to convectional coagulation. It is green and sustainable technology eliminates chemicals. Removes suspended solids and treat complex waste streams. Removes fats, oils & grease. Application of electro-coagulation, distillation/desalination, food processing industry, textile.
