URBANPROMISE MINISTRIES: CAMDEN, NJ
-Assistant Director of Experiential Learning (August 2015-Present) Provide direct oversight and management of program staff in the department of experiential learning. Develop and implement experiential learning expeditions, and leadership development and mentoring curriculum for students in grades 9-12. Plan and participate in fundraising events and manage grant application and reporting, manage communications and social media, and participate in community groups on behalf of the office of Experiential Learning.
-K-12 Spanish Teacher (August 2014-August 2015)
Interpret, adapt, and implement curriculum for Spanish language instruction in Camden Forward School and UrbanPromise Academy, teaching all levels of Spanish. Maintain open and cooperative communication with school administration and students’ parents to ensure the success of students.
URBANPROMISE HONDURAS: COPÁN RUINAS, HONDURAS
-Fundraising Team Member (January 2014-July 2014)
Formulate, troubleshoot and implement individual and organizational fundraising plans in a team of 5 members to meet the organization’s $250,000 annual budget.
-Vacation Camp Staff Supervisor (November 2013-February 2014) Train program directors (Honduran nationals) and oversee training process by directors of assistant directors and 35 youth employed in programs. Lead regular goal setting and leadership training meetings with directors. Manage staff care and oversee all 4 children’s programs.
-Program Director (May 2011-November 2013, March 2014-July 2014) Recruit and 50 enroll children in program. Maintain positive, active relationships in with 35 families involved with the program. Mentor and lead team of 8 youth (14-20 y/o) employed to work in program. Complete intensive, intentional leadership mentoring of Assistant Director. Oversee daily running of the program.
-Volunteer (September 2009-November 2009)
Plan and teach in the children’s program held daily in the community. CENTER CITY CRIME VICTIM SERVICES: PHILADELPHIA, PA
-Bilingual Victim Advocate (December 2009-April 2011) Advocate for victims of crime in and out of the courtroom, acting as a liaison between victims and the District Attorney’s office, specifically working with the Latino community. File, manage, and educate victims about claims filed with the Victims Compensation Assistance Program. Outreach to the Latino community. GLOUCESTER COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES SCHOOL DISTRICT: SEWELL, NJ
-Temporary Recruiter: Migrant Education Program (May 2007-September 2007, June 2008-August 2008) Recruit and enroll students in Summer program, schedule and transported students to medical appointments, translate for students enrolled in program at medical visits, keep parents aware and involved in programs and their child’s activity within the program.
