Oversee engineering consultant design drawings for the preliminary design and project construction including code compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Conduit size calculation based on number of wires at 40% conduit fill using three phase grounded systems theory for balanced loads in order to determine the number of neutrals.

Used the existing single line distribution diagram to determine the number of branch circuits considering the constraints related to patient care environment where neutrals are dedicated for each branch circuit in critical areas and the wiring of the essential electrical system shall be kept entirely independent. Using these criteria I realized that the conduit will be oversized because of the great number of bonding conductors. To solve this issue I recommend one bonding conductor only for each main distribution conduits with separate calculation.

HYDRO ONE project for DAM GATE CONTROL for TIMMINS

Designed, implemented and developed an OPG dam project for Gates Control for Power Plant in Timmins.

Created design diagrams for the Electrical Control Room for lifting and lowering the gates which control the power plant water flow, consisting of two 150kVA isolation transformers c/w NGR’s, distribution panels, splitters, and 400A disconnect switch.

Performed electrical load calculation, sized cables, voltage drops calculations and created cable schedules.

Added a 200A breaker for UPS and Emergency Generator. The breaker had mechanical interlock between main power supply and UPS for safety.

Electrical room was designed for two gates and controlled by a Schneider Electric Modicon Quantum PLC with Analog /Digital Inputs & Outputs
