Designed CNC Mill Multi Slot Cutter Machine for cutting keyway on six 2.0’’DIA bar stock on the same time.

Structural Analysis for Machine columns, bridges, shafts and Kinematics analysis for main drive components. Mechanical Stress Analysis for gear trains used in gear boxes with speed ratio between 12-128 and horsepower varying from 2-100Hp.

Fluid Power Analysis of hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems, concepts and analysis of hydraulic and pneumatic schematics based on motion and load, calculation of flow rate and local and total pressure drop on fittings, pipes, control valves, gear and axial piston pumps, and linear single and double acting hydraulic cylinder. Performed Calculation and Sizing of Electro Drive Power units, gear boxes and transmission units for the main drive principal motion.

Performed FEA SolidWorks Simulations for linear stress, buckling, and modal analysis on all machine elements as part components of the machine tool.

The CAD Software used to do Design and do FEA Analysis was SolidWorks2002-2007 and AutoCAD 2002-2008.

Based on belt conveyor capacities and pulley drive arrangements I performed mechanical power calculations for Electrical drives, Gear boxes, Belt transmission, Head and tail pulley, Mechanical and Gravitational Take-up, Conveyor belt, Idler Roller station selection, Structural Stress Analysis for Trusses, shafts and all structural components of the conveyor. I used for stress analysis concepts and engineering principles of strength of materials using methods of nods, section method,displacement method, and Castigliano`s method for indeterminate structure.

AutoCAD 2002 I used for 2D/3D design and drafting layout.

Designed multi stations Progressive, Combination and Compound dies for Stamping and Forming operations like Bending, Blanking, Piercing and Drawing. Create and optimize strip layout for better succession of operations and more efficient utilization of material.

Performed calculation for Mechanical Stress and deflection on Punch and Die Block, Stripper plate, Springs and Fasteners. Selection of tool materials and specification of heat treatment based on reliability and long lasting to wear condition and fatigue. Calculation of cutting, bending and drawing forces, intermediate sizing dimensions on drawing operation,assign tolerances to punches and die blocks based on part drawing precision and specification. Calculation the center of the resultant of cutting and forming forces, mechanical work and the power of electric drive required to the mechanical or hydraulic press. Selection of Mechanical Press based on tonnage required, size of dies, productivity and class of precision.
