CEO of a consulting firm with a business-management focus designed for small to medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations. Offering; management training, strategic planning, environmental engineering, project management and additional management services.

Teichert Construction – Continuous Improvement Manager (2002 – 2013)

Responsible for process; evaluation, development, and implementation in response to business challenges in order to keep pace with industry changes. Process management was accomplished using various teams of subject experts and modern problem-solving techniques. My role was also utilized in strategic business planning responding to market conditions and regulatory changes. Teamed up to make adjustments to business- development efforts as an extension of the overall business strategies including; territory requirements, target clients, product models, presentations etc. Finally developed specific training in all subjects as new processes, procedures and techniques were added.

Lehigh Cement Co. – Manager of Total Quality, Safety, and Training (1996 – 2002)

Responsible for managing three programs for four ‘Business Units’ throughout California operations. Began employment with the company as the Environmental Engineer at their Redding CA cement manufacturing facility. I was then recruited for the position of Mgr. - Total Quality, Safety & Training in the corporate office in Concord CA. In that role I managed the three corporate programs described below;

Total Quality/Process Improvement – Advisor to four Quality Councils which were responsible for problem solving and process development in their respective operations. Councils made up of subject experts from throughout the company.

Safety – Advisor to Safety Specialists and corresponding Safety Teams in each of four Business Units. Teams developed process and procedures for safety compliance.

Training – Designed, wrote and delivered specific technical training throughout all levels of the management group. Assisted others in training development throughout the company.

Entropy Engineering – Project Manager (1994 – 1996)

Engineering consulting firm which worked closely with EPA’s regulatory-development group. Acted as Project Manager/Process Advisor for a group of coal-fired power plants owned by my primary client account – Duke Power Co. Worked with their corporate engineering group and advised process changes in each of their power plant locations throughout East Coast. Focus included; process development (air quality), physical monitoring of plant discharge (compliance), and advisor on both plant systems and regulatory changes and their impact on plant operations.

Chevron USA – Technologist – Gas & Chemical Engineering Depart. (1984 – 1994)

Responsible for process evaluation and chemical analysis of products working in the Gas & Chemical Engineering group. Evolved with regulations into the “Source Testing Coordinator” for production field operations in Kern, Kings, and Fresno Counties. Duties included evaluation/design of pollution control devices, scheduling all compliance testing, advice to operations on operating processes, and finally field strategies at the corporate level.

ARCO (Atlantic Richfield Co.) – Wilmington CA (1980 – 1984)

and IVEC (Independent Valley Energy Co,) – Bakersfield CA

Worked in the analytical laboratories for both refineries. Responsible for lab analysis of products, review of operation’s process settings related to product quality, and advice to operators on potential changes to process. At IVEC was promoted to Assistant Lab Director.

PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric) – Inspector/Project Mgr. with Mechanical

Engineering Dept. – Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. (1978-1980)

Responsible for the installation of equipment during the construction phase of the nuclear-powered plant. Oversaw weld-testing, and other technical requirements for the contract personnel hired at the plant (union contractors). Trained to later serve a role in day to day plant operations as member of the on-site engineering team. Conducted the weld testing evaluation on rupture restraints systems throughout the plant as required for earthquake retrofits. Created reports for submittal to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and escorted their inspectors onsite.
