I provided Senior support to the Tier 1 helpdesk and to Microsoft Licensing customers. This includes but not limited to.

The creation and maintenance of Digital Certificates, Passport login support, and MOO (Microsoft OEM Online) accounts.

I also provide Tier 1 support to the AR’s (Authorized Replicators) POD configuration. This consists of the AR’s server (running custom Apriso software), COA print Zebras, range and pallet Zebra printers, Symbol’s handheld scanners, and local SQL databases.

IT INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER SIENA HOTEL SPA AND CASINO

I designed, implemented, and maintained the infrastructure of the new casino. Working with our vendors, I built the backbone of the guest network, casino network, admin. network, and vendor network.

For the guest network I used 3Com’s VCN solution, to provide T1 access and port-to-port security to all 240 rooms of the hotel. This consisted of over 24 switches on 9 floors, utilizing fiber technology and fiber media converters, routed all back to the MDF and hooked to an IP Solution Server. This was the device that allowed us to translate everyone’s IP address to our external IP to allow access to the Internet.

Working “very closely” with our vendor Acres Gaming and IGT. We built six clustered Dell servers, two Domain Controllers, and two more domain administration servers. This ran all of our player tracking Javelins, Merlin Javelins, our hard/soft count consoles, and splash slot machines. We had three EZ-Pay servers from IGT that ran our EZ-Pay system.

The admin. Network consisted of two Domain Controllers, two file servers, one MS Exchange Server, three application servers, and two NAS servers.

Our vendor list included, but was not limited to; Infogenesis as our Point Of Sale (POS), Micros Fidelio as our Property Management System (PMS), Acres Gaming as our gaming platform, Rio Spa Soft as our spa software, Abra for our HR software, and MAS 90 as our financial software.

I also managed a staff of three IT Techs. and two Network Administrators, whom I managed, trained, and set their schedules. I reported to the Director of IT, with little to no supervision.

As NT Admin, I was responsible for our Backup Domain Controller “BDC”, File and Print server “FP”, our 4 Vendor Servers, daily deskside tasks, and Distribution Center “DC” user accounts. Here are a few of the projects I completed as NT Admin.

-Upgraded our File and Print Server from NT 4.0 to Win2k Advanced Server “AS”.

-Upgraded our BDC from NT 4.0 to Win2k Advanced Server.

-Upgraded 3 slam servers from NT Workstation to NT 4.0 Server

-Coordinated and performed a mass upgrade of 80 workstations from

Win 95/98 to NT 4.0 Workstation.

-Built and configured our Win2k AS Avalanche server.

-Found and corrected a memory leak on our Crisplant server.

Systems: I repaired, built, and maintained all computers running WinNT and Win2k. This consisted of our user workstations to the servers that ran our conveyors and vendor systems. I also helped setup the current ghosting procedures they have in place.

Network: Programmed wireless hubs, wireless devices, routers, AP units, Spectralink antennae’s, ran cable, and constructed all the necessary network cables.

Operations: Responsible for the setup of the wireless scanners, hand-held scanners, box scanners, Omni scanners, overhead Omni scanners, direct thermal, printers, print and apply Zebra’s, Scanjet printers, Slam line scanners, Slam line conveyor systems, Crisplant conveyors, and the Pick To Light “PTL” lights/baymods.

I was their top money making technician and worked on various projects.
