California State Legislature, Sacramento, California 1999 to 2018 Chief of Staff - Office of Assembly Member Devon J. Mathis (2017-2018) – Scope of duties consist of the ongoing coordination of capitol and district office operations that included acting in press secretary role directly interacting with all media and providing ongoing oversight of traditional and social media outreach programs. Additionally, oversaw complete legislative bill packages and committee leadership preparation in a broad range of subject matter jurisdictional issues.

Played a key role in organizing and setting up numerous press conferences and public events on a wide-array of key issues, that included serving as Press Secretary interacting with all media and overseeing mail programs. Chief of Staff - Office of Assembly Member Donald P. Wagner (2010-2016) – Principal role was always to serve as the surrogate to the elected official whereupon I was routinely called upon to speak on behalf of the Assembly Member and make critical decisions affecting the constituency comprised of approximately 450,000 California residents.

Received an esteemed invitation from the South Korean President to visit South Korea serving as an emissary to focus on trade issues between the State of California and South Korea. Traveled to South Korea and met with numerous high-ranking cabinet members to discuss key issues impacting South Korean National Security due to border threats from North Korea. Visited demilitarized border zone dividing North and South Korea on a high level, diplomatic tour. Chief of Staff - Office of Assembly Member Paul Cook (2006-2010) – Responsible for cultivating relationships with key decision makers and obtaining positive results across legislative house and party lines.

Named Chair of the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs, a distinguishing development since chair positions are rarely given or assigned to Republican Members. Consequently served as chief point person on all Veterans matters before the Committee and the Assembly.

Chief of Staff - Office of Assembly Member Bill Maze (2002-2006) – Selected as primary point person for a newly formed Select Committee on West Nile Virus which compiled all relevant statistical data and coordinated with all statewide vector control districts to convene meetings across California to combat virus-related illness impacting the state.

Chosen as Vice Chair of the Assembly Committee on Agriculture and Water, Parks, and Wildlife. Personally, served as lead staffer responsible for setting up task forces to coordinate statewide tours of principals involved in water conveyance addressing drought impacts to the state of California.

Served as Co-Chair for the Select Committee on Foster Care and acted as principal staff member responsible for collating all data and coordinating with diverse 58-California Counties and setting agendas and speaking engagements on this subject matter topic.
