MANAGER, Plan Member Services 2016 –2018

Reporting to the Senior Director, responsible for team of 15 pension plan specialists administering pension plans for Ontario’s Healthcare sector.

Worked with on site vendor to implement new Workflow Case Management System (Agile –based).

Implemented project deliverables per direction of Scrum Master and identified system defects and enhancement opportunities.

Trained and managed staff on new policies and procedures as per Plan text rules including Plan improvements.

Represented voice of the customer and managed team responding to member/client inquiries and resolved escalations from members and employers.

SENIOR MANAGER, Client Operations & Project Delivery 2014 –2016

Responsible for change implementation of up to $5 million Workflow project for RBC Insurance using Software as a Service (SaaS) using SDLC methodology in an agile environment.

Created and maintained all project artifacts and deliverables per client requirements.

Reporting to the National Director, managed a team of 30 staff responsible for workflow administration and implemented new procedures.

Trained and mobilized on-shore and off-shore teams on new processes and procedures – including an early transformation from “iterative” to AGILE.

Reporting to the Canadian National Director, managed the daily operations for this growing Insurance MGA/wholesale insurance firm.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, liaised between key internal business partners and external vendors (primarily Bloomberg), to facilitate the creation of Bloomberg ticker symbols on all 460 investment fund products as required by the US-based Portfolio Management team.

Reviewed historical price records for each investment product, managed fund information updates and ensured accurate records at Cannex and Bloomberg.

Created a product data governance framework for all third-party data providers. Main point of contact for third party vendors.

Managed issues tracking and reporting for all assigned projects.

Worked with IT resources and Finance to devise and deploy a control and guideline process to streamline access security to 850,000 confidential files and folders.

Reporting to the AVP, Operations of TD Wealth Management was handpicked as the Interim Senior Manager to direct 2 account management departments at multiple locations due to displaying exemplary leadership, coaching and guidance of a 90-person team.

Navigated through numerous hurdles to devise and implement new procedures to ensure AML compliance for the validation of corporate entities across all lines of business at TD Wealth Management.

Stabilized staff morale experiencing constant change in a high pressure, high volume environment processing over 2,000 new accounts per day.

MANAGER – Product Support Fee-Based Solutions & Wealth Management (2008 – 2009)

Reporting to the AVP, Wealth Management Operations awarded the prestigious TD STAR Award in 2009 for leading the realignment and streamlining of the operations procedures for fee-based accounts.

Directed a dedicated team to build an automated account opening process based on an existing macro tool, eliminating manual processing, and decreasing error rate by 90%.

Selected to chair a 12-person working group with representation from product management, operations and sales mandated to address and resolve operational issues with fee-based accounts.

CIBC Brokerage Operations, Toronto 2006 – 2008

SENIOR MANAGER – Third Party Mutual Funds & Insurance

Reporting to the Senior Director devised and piloted radical changes to the mutual fund trade correction request process convincing multiple stakeholders across the business of the need to boost efficiency while utilizing latest technology in an automated email template.

Planned and tested with FundSERV, mutual fund trading vendor FIS and internal operations to upgrade the mutual fund trading vendor application to comply with FundSERV mandatory standards.

BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., Toronto 1999 – 2006
