Managed all accounting functions for 4 subsidiaries of AIG including Brazos Capital Management, Opportunity Capital Fund, Total Return Fund, and Pembrook. Prepared month end close and associated journal entries. Assisted in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Performed monthly reviews of general ledger, accounts receivable and payable reconciliation, expense distribution, accrued expenses and re-class of miscoded invoices. Responsible for bank reconciliations to trial balance. Uploaded forecast and budget information into accounting software. Coded cash receipts to the G/L. Prepared weekly cash flow reports. Served as liaison between the TX branch office and NY headquarters. Reported directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Achievements:

Reduced time for completion of internal and external audits from 3 weeks to 1 week, by serving as an efficient liaison to PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC).

Created new monthly accounting binders which included all reporting such as P&L, Balance Sheet, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable reporting, and were used by PWC in the external audit.
