Description :

The main aim of the project is to understand and to study the design of solid propellant motor and different types of tests performed to check the performance and properties of a rocket and stimulation of pipe flow with and without cavity using ANSYS Fluent CFD Software, to know the inlet and outlet velocities, pressures and density of pipe flow.

Role and Responsibility : Design of disc brakes and modelling them, Preparing the report

Description :

The present project is to optimize the disc brake of two wheeler vehicle. An attempt is made to suggest a configuration and material for disc brake which yields less temperature variation, temperature dissipation and stress distribution. The disc brake is modelled in four configurations by using SOLID-WORKS 2018. Grey cast iron and stainless steel are used as disc materials. Steady state thermal analysis has carried out to evaluate temperature distribution and further structural analysis is carried by coupled field analysis to find the deformation by using ANSYS 17.2. The optimized disc is fabricated using CNC Milling Machine.
