Simulation and Analysis of 1-2 Shift Process of a 6 Speed FWD Automatic Transmission

Establishing a Mathematical model for a 1-2 shift.

The Model was simulated using MATLAB/Simulink at constant throttle for 1-2 shift process by controlling the clutch torques.

The Clutch Torque profiles, vehicle speed and acceleration profiles were analyzed.

Modeling and Analysis of Vehicle Cooling Management System

Developing the SIMULINK models for air flow, engine operation subsystems, coolant flow and combining the above subsystems to construct a thermal management system for determining the outlet temperature of the coolant in the engine.

Calculated the rate of heat transfer in the radiator and the coolant flow rate for the vehicle operating conditions.

Passive Regeneration of a Diesel Particulate Filter

Improving the efficiency of Passive regeneration of a filter with NO2 and Ce-Ze catalyst.

Stimulation done on Cantera-Python platform. Close to 95% of the soot was trapped in the filter after the regeneration process.

AA2014 alloy used in the aerospace industry, was treated to solution heat treatment (T4 Temper) and aging (T6 Temper).

Results where precipitation hardening of the alloy and sizable increase in the Tensile Strength, Toughness, and impact strength.
