Job Description
To attend to the Occupational Therapy needs of patients in the Centre.
Duties and responsibilities
Assess and treats motor, cognitive, vocational and psychological issues.
Plan, Organize and conduct treatment program.
Assess self-care, Independency.
Performs comprehensive initial evaluation, progress reports and necessary records.
Manages safe ethical and effective environment and engages in professional development.
Carry out systematic patient-centered approach to deliver faster better-friendlier services.
Documents all pertinent information.
Documents follow up assessment and discharge summary.
2. NEST Caring for Children with Challenges
Occupational Therapist (January 2016 –September 2016)
Parental training for carrying out the therapeutic activities at home to enhance the improvement.
Continuous therapy sessions were held and regular follow up on the home training
Home visits were conducted to have an awareness on the family backgrounds and the society with which the client is from.
Creating awareness to the parents, family and the society on the importance of early detection and intervention of certain conditions like autism, cerebral palsy etc.
2. Alfa Pediatric care
Occupational Therapist (April 2015 –December 2015).
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending outpatient or home health follow-up programs.
3. Chemmad Hearing Care Clinic
Occupational Therapist (December 2013 – March 2015)
Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining occupational therapy treatment plans.
Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs.
Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.
Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.
