Managed the manufacture of finished products and ensure that all aspects of legislation that relate to Dangerous Goods storage and handling, internal or customer’s quality and safety requirements are complied with continuous improvement of all function within the operational area and development of the skills of the staff. Key responsibilities/accomplishments includes:

OHS&E

Maintaining site safety and regulatory compliance in production.

Ensure plant personnel compliance with established systems.

Active participation in and demonstrated leadership of all OHS&E initiatives.

Issue of maintenance work permits in accordance with procedural and statutory requirements.

Plant Activities Management

Production planning for Coolants and Solvents and issue of required work orders.

Ensure the work orders are completed fully prior to receipting

Ensure sufficient notice is provided to purchasing function for raw materials and packaging purchases to meet the production plans

Inventory management for supply of raw materials & packaging is closely managed so that costs are kept to a minimum and there is no or undersupply based on present requirements

Manage activities of production and logistics personnel, allocate staffing, contract “Casual” labour, maintain labour costs against budget, track and report rework labour costs

Production & Logistics operate to meet supply requirements in accordance with parameters agreed by the business eg. DIFOT, Lead-time targets etc

Indicate delivery of service on invoices from local providers and authorise invoice payments within approved limits

People Management

Conduct annual reviews for all EA based production personnel

Co-ordinate delivery of identified EA personnel training

Active involvement in EA development negotiations and conductive committee.

Product development

Active involvement in commissioning of new equipment and implementation of new and modified procedures and work instructions
