I have worked as an Mechanical Engineer of R&D, I have extensive experience in the industry here in the US and have also led engineering teams in Asia for the sheet metal fabrication, Plastic/ rubber Injection, etc. Design and Products Producing. Also Knowledgeable of thermal management techniques(been help lot of customer that they couldn’t pass thermal testing to get result) /Experienced with EMC compliance testing & root cause analysis associated with EMI test, Shock and Vibration test. c) How to buy them, When to get them, How to store them

d) How you qualify them, will it satisfy the customer,

e) How do I packaging them, Get better protection for the product, Save the cost.

f) How to the after service, get the customer better satisfaction.

g) How to lead the people that work for me, how to training them,

h) How to know my vendors, How to learn from them, How to build a good relationship

with them.

Most important thing is that I using them in my daily job. Share them with my colleague, my customer.

Commenced development of EIA IT serve/ storage embedded systems rack mount enclosures for new business.

Worked with Intel, Super Micro, Asus, Iwell, Tyan, additional motherboard company.

Joined Intel SSI organization as a member and based on SSI & EIA spec., created new enclosure design.

Created CI Design’s own server enclosures (1U~8U) 1st generation and then 2nd Horizontal back plane style server system. Constantly built upon feedback from previous generations to make product improvement.

When a new prototype was released. Briefed Sales on new product Specification & selling strategies.

Explored, researched, implemented change in product process that resulted

in 25~28% cost reduction (Originally, CI Design enclosures were made in USA.). Created system to move all parts production to Taiwan in order to improve efficiency and cut down the cost.

Trained manufacture engineers in design engineering in Taiwan

Trained engineers to use AutoCAD (for 2D detail or assembly drawing), Pro-E (for 3D solid model) and Solidworks as a design /communication tool for interacting with client, CI Design and vendors.

Improved speed of service (to 16hrs/day) for variety of client requests: plastic/ rubber injection parts, sheet metal parts, PCB parts, cables, package parts, etc.

Joined CI Design as Mechanical Engineer and designed drive mounting Hardware/ Storage Enclosures. Trained design in how to use FEA analysis are: decreasing design cycles, keeping production costs low through design optimization, and uncovering potential sources of field failures

Handled OEM (Toshiba) project. From design, detail drawing. quotation, prototype, pre-production, all the way to master production.

Ensured designed external storage device enclosure, which included: a) sheet metal stamping parts, b) plastics/ rubber injection parts, c) electro cables wiring parts. d) packaging parts with ANSI Y14.5M Dimensioning and tolerance standard.

Handled “First Article Inspection” and reports creation.
