Drove growth. Increased B&D’s sales to $18M (300%). Achieved average gross profits of 35% range and operating profit margins of 20%. Led expansion from one to three plants with sales of $45M in three states: CO, CA and AZ.
Increased productivity. Streamlined B&D’s workflow to maximize labor efficiency and resource utilization, and drive continuous improvement. Implemented lean manufacturing principles. Cut inventories and boosted inventory turns. Created KPI tracking tools to highlight and seize opportunities for improvement.
Diversified. Streamlined supply chain logistics for high-volume international pick/pack program for the food service industry. Designed and implemented ERP system conversion and grew e-commerce initiatives.
Boosted efficiency and quality, cut costs. Developed a system that used ERP data to capture and analyze labor and materials production variances by job. Added a recurring 4-5% to the bottom line.
Seized an opportunity. When a printing broker had a need for a certain type of numbering equipment, secured the hard-to-find needed equipment quickly and won $500K in annual revenue for eight years.
Rescued a client, cemented a relationship. State government changed to high-speed printers resulting in offset problems. Developed a workaround that enabled the client to use 1 million forms that otherwise would have been scrapped. Shortly thereafter, won a five-year no-bid contract due to superior service.

General Manager - B&D Litho of Arizona, Inc. – 2007 to 2018. One of the largest specialty web offset printing companies in the Western US. Promoted to manage the 125-employee Arizona operation under new public ownership, including full P&L, HR, legal and compliance responsibilities. Earned Most Improved Plant Award twice.
Executive Vice President - B&D Litho, Inc. – 2003 to 2007. Promoted, added general management responsibilities to prior sales & marketing roles and continued the growth of the company. Grew the manufacturing business into a regional powerhouse.
Vice President of Sales & Marketing - B&D Litho, Inc. – 1993 to 2003. Selected to manage a 3-member field sales force, a 10-member in-house sales team and numerous distributors throughout the Southwest.
