Jan 2017 – Current - Clark Airforce Base Conversion Project, Philippines – Resident Senior Engineer for Design and Base Conversion for the decommissioned US Air Base to commercial use. Working for contractor Al McDonald Arabia Engineers. Responsible to develop the design team for 1000 sqm terminal building, 18 passenger boarding bridges, electrical, baggage handling, IT, SAS, Security, GSE, etc. Two year project with option for continued work on other large scale projects throughout the Philippines. Include major dam work at Balog Balog, and rebuilding cities throughout Mindanao region. Responsible for the development and review of all bid documents related to the $1 billion KCI International Terminal project. Various packages to be bid for design and PM. Responsible for $16.2 million budget to maintain power plant (steam boilers, generators, turbines etc.) Direct P&L responsibility for the management of 200 craft personnel (millwrights, pipefitters, etc) and contractors. Accomplishments include 37% reduction in area overtime, pilot program for state of the art vibration analysis, balancing/alignment and Preventive/Predictive maintenance programs. Personnel went 2 years without a OSHA recordable injury. Area recognized for increased reliability of power plant through project improvements, work system changes, and standards, saving the company millions.
