BEST DISTRIBUTING-Charlotte, NC. Best Distributing is a member of Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. the largest publicly held distributor of residential and commercial building materials in North America. Inside Sales Representative, 5/2013-present. Responsibilities include exemplary customer service, maximizing sales and building strong relationships with existing customers, generating new customer leads for outside sales representatives, logistics, inventory control, training new employees, creating roof take-off quotes, quoting and completing sales for all roof, siding, and window products.

Accomplishments

• Took over all responsibilities for our biggest customer within a month of being hired. This includes communicating with at least 15 of their employees daily to make sure their material gets ordered properly and delivered in a timely manner. I have personally grown the sales of this customer to confidently give me twice as many as orders as they were giving before I came on board.

Bookkeeper/Computer Room Associate, 1997-2001. Responsibilities include daily balancing of a $20,000 vault, recovering losses, generating pertinent reports (including a section of the profit and loss statement), processing markdowns and markups, ordering store and office supplies, organizing store meetings, setting up and maintaining registers, computers and store equipment consulting with vendors on purchase orders, maintaining and troubleshooting IBM PCs, TTY terminals, LAN lines and cash registers.

Accomplishments

• Key to opening the bookkeeping department, computer room and front-end during a four-week rollout of a new store in Mechanicsville.

• Reorganized a disorderly bookkeeping department at Richmond store, followed up on documentation to resolve charge-backs and shortages that directly affect the profit-and-loss statements.
