• Worked as a trainee under the guidance of Dr. Gurjaspreet Singh in the project entitled “Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Schiff’s base and Terminal alkynes”.

• Learned about the synthesis of various Schiff’s bases and their derivatives.

• Learned various characterization techniques like Fourier Transform Infra-Red spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy.

Key Learning and Achievements

Collaborated with the training head, we synthesized various Schiff’s bases and terminal alkynes having potential Biological activities. We also synthesized various silatranes using prepared Schiff’s bases. Academic Project

I am doing a research project under the supervision of Dr. Girijesh Kumar, INSPIRE Faculty, Department of Chemistry and Centre of Advanced Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. I have submitted my project report for MSc (HS) 3rd semester entitled as “Metal–Organic Frameworks based on Benzil derived ligands: Heterogeneous Catalysis”.

Instruments used: Infra-red spectrophotometer (IR), UV-Visible spectrophotometer (UV), Thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), Single crystal X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC).
