A Total Complex Turn Around Project (TCTA 2004) and
was working under the Reliability Dept. Mechanical
Section-Rotating-Plant Shutdown Maintenance activities
as Inspection Engineer/Consultant
The job was on 24 hrs work with two (2) shifts. Assigned
for night duty straight for 12 hours work per day. The
main work assignment was in PP I and PP II plant
(Propylene Plant). Other work assignments was at the
hydrojetting yard, internally cleaning the turbine blade
parts and checking for any oil leakage during the test run
for the oil pump for GE turbine unit in the MTBE plant.
Main scope of work was to render inspection and
consulting services to the maintenance crew who were
performing maintenance activities like: repair, overhauling,
conditioning, assembly and installation and test run.
Monitored and evaluated vibration test results for Gas
Compressor as well as witnessed alignment of couplings
of other rotary units and dimensional check for rotary
compressor cylinder head.
Recommend complete replacement of internal parts for
mini gearbox which was running dry and parts totally
worn out/damage and to modify casing to provide access
for oil to be added during operation.

Later was absorbed under QC Department and performs:
verification and troubleshooting of installed items like:

Working under the Maintenance Department,
Mechanical Section and in coordination with Electrical
and Instrument Sections, performs daily routine field
visual inspections during Plant Operation and record
discrepancies and defective/damage units/ items and
abnormal equipment/machinery performance and
prepare work permit per discipline to be done during
operation or during shutdown schedules.
For verification on rotating equipment performance,
prepared schedule for collection of vibration data on
regular basis for normal operating units. For abnormal
units monitoring, was performed frequently depending on the
status of the vibration results using IRD 838 analyzer
instrument. If the need for repair or replacement is required
an emergency Plant short shutdown is requested in
coordination with the Plant Manager and Maintenance
Manager after having analyzed the results.
On shutdown schedules, have my own team to supervise and
hands on in conducting repair/PMS and conditioning
maintenance.
Other duties performed: Supervise the yearly painting
& lubrication activities, prepare/update and maintain the
Maintenance Program and imposes the planned preventive/
breakdown and conditioning maintenance on the three
sections. Update the history records for all units/equipment
including Electrical and Instrumentation, including civil
works, service vehicles, AC units, pier facilities, buildings,
offices, plant facilities & warehouses. Submits weekly
reports, and was document controller. Conduct materials
inventory at stock room, and prepares/submits PRO. Hands
on in the maintenance activities as well as in the collection of
