A result driven non-profit making organization’s programmer, with vast experience in developing innovative programmes. I am deeply committed to improving the lives of girls and women through male and other related stakeholder’s involvement with proven ability to provide team leadership, driving performance, programme improvement and quality initiatives. Achievements Awards and Responsibilities

1. One of the children who enabled Betty Makoni of the Girl Child Network to win the World’s Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child in 2007 through my appearance in the Globe Magazine.

2. Led and planted male feminist boys clubs in all schools in Chitungwiza for PADARE within 6 months when I was still in high school.

3. In 2005, I became a Junior Councillor as well as Junior Town Treasurer for the Chitungwiza Junior Council – where I was one of the pioneers for the Child Friendly National Budget Initiative, resulting in the Zimbabwe national budget prioritizing children’s issues that year.

4. Appointed to be a member of the inaugural National Young People’s Network on HIV and AIDS in 2008 where I represented young people who are gender advocates in the light of HIV and AIDS.

5. Through my work at the organisation that I am currently engaged with, I managed to coordinate as well as write grant proposals and concept notes which received funding from Egmont Trust, PEPFAR(United States Embassy), Amplify Change, Amnesty International, Higher Life Foundation, UNFPA as well as corporate partners such as local business people and Steward Bank Zimbabwe.

6. I have also led a team at Shamwari Yemwanasikana that was awarded Best Teen Development Organisation at the inaugural Zim Teen Awards in 2017.

7. My efforts in information documentation and dissemination saw the Founding Director of Shamwari Yemwanasikana, Ekenia Chifamba being awarded as a Teen Development Activist 2017, Giraffe Hero 2016, nominated amongst 100 Great Zimbabweans and awarded for Civil Activism 2017, and nominated Phenomenal African Woman 2017.

8. Developed communication and fundraising material for Shamwari Yemwanasikana as well as seasonal publications.

9. Coordinated and led the implementation of campaigns and programs at Shamwari Yemwanasikana such as the Safe Cities for Women and Girls Campaign, Men As Role Models Campaign, Churches Uniting to Fight Against Rape among others.

10. Have been producing the Annual Reports and other important publications for Shamwari Yemwanasikana since 2016.

11. Developed an Advocacy Centre – which is a central library that stores vital information on women and girls for the benefit of the locally based girls in the community.

12. Designed and produced the Good and Bad Touch series of manuals by Girl Child Network. These assisted young girls to be able to know their anatomy and prevent sexual abuse.

13. Appeared on various media platforms including the Voice of America and in newspapers championing the cause of girl child and women’s empowerment.

Duties included:

- Conducting school needs assessment for girls leading to the identification of orphaned, underprivileged and vulnerable girls as well as survivors of child rights violation so as to provide or increase access to education.

- Developing and updating school fees, school uniforms, school stationery and subsistence Databases for over 500 beneficiaries (girls) nationwide.

- Documenting departmental data including monthly and annual statistics.

- Writing and presenting departmental and donor reports.

- Developing departmental Monthly Work plans and Calendar of Events.

- Offering guidance and counselling to beneficiaries and their families/guardians.

Information Documentation and Dissemination Officer (Girl Child Network-GCN Zimbabwe) GCN Zimbabwe is an internationally acclaimed and accredited non-profit making, non-governmental organization whose main mandate is to identify girls who are at risk of abuse, orphaned, vulnerable, underprivileged and survivors of child abuse as well as child rights violation particularly the right to education and justice who are below the age of 18 years so as to effectively assist them accordingly.
