Python/Django Developer Intern- Binghamton University, New York Jan 2017 - Nov 2017 Technologies Used: Python, Django, HTML, CSS, SQLite database, JavaScript, Bootstrap Social Community Site:
• The main idea behind this is to allow users to create different groups according to their area of interest and create awareness about upcoming technologies. With the help of this site users can create new groups or join/leave exist groups as per their interest. Also users are allowed to comment their ideas on various topics.
• Also implemented a feature to track user’s activity i.e. all the comments of user and present groups of that user.
• Developed website using Python and Django Web framework with the help of HTML template tagging, CSS, JS and Bootstrap in front end. Class based views are used to implement all the functionalities and models are used to store data on server-side using SQLite database.
PROJECTS:
Movie Rating Analysis and Twitter Hashtag Streaming Technologies used: Spark, Python, Scala
• Used Apache Spark to analyze movie ratings. Further used these movie ratings to find out the similarity between millions of different movies for new movie suggestions.
• Also analyzed social graph of movie characters to find out most popular movie characters. Developed a system to find out the degree of separation between different characters.
• Developed twitter stream listener to extract the most recent hashtags based on recent tweets. Used python to create RDDs with the help of Twitter API and further used MapReduce to filter out the most recent hashtags. Smart Security Camera using Raspberry Pi

• Implemented an application for catching an intruder’s movements using structural similarity between images. Other techniques like image similarity matrix, Sum Squared Errors, Mean Squared Errors are compared with SSIM to improve the performance of video processing.
• Performed Video Processing using OpenCV library and NumPy using Python in Linux environment.
• Triggered alert messages to users using Twilio website API. Used Client library from Twilio framework to handle requests in Python. Retail Business Management System

• Deployed a standalone application to track all the activities performed by RBMS like order of new items, total purchase of a customer, total savings of a purchase, total monthly sale activity, etc.
• All RBMS operations such as adding new items to inventory, adding new customers and employees, returning the total sales of the month are performed using procedures and functions.
• To maintain consistency of the application, Triggers and Sequences are used to keep the database free of potential dependencies that may occur. GUI is developed using Java and Eclipse. RELATED COURSEWORK:
