Operations Support Engineer (November 2017 - Present)

Provide operational technical support for the Verizon Wireless migration project, transitioning the Alcatel-Lucent 4G LTE eNodeB Base Band Units (BBU) to the Nokia 4G/5G LTE Airscale Flexi System Module (FSM4). Market lead for Dallas area, Colorado-mountain area and the south-east regions. Manage customer’s priority concerns related to pre-migration and post migration installation escalations on the LTE Base Band Unit and the LTE Airscale (FSM4).

Interface with Business Operations, Product Management, Project Management, and Customer Technical Advocate internal teams as the Remote Integration Test Center representative liaison for the LTE pre-migration post migration installation escalations.

Provide technical analysis and resolution for the LTE Base Band Unit’s pre-migration failures to ensure the supporting radio hardware and the site configuration files (SCF) are prepared for a successful transition to the Nokia Airscale (FSM4).

Restore operation on Airscale (FSM4) post migration installation network failures and improve data traffic performance allowing the Product Management Teams to do a proper handoff to the customer’s commercial system.

Escalate quality issues to the Remote Integration Test Center Team and recommend corrective action improving LTE migration installation services.

Research technical documentation, method of procedures (MOP), and all other informational resources to assure that the Remote Integration Test Center is compliant with Nokia and Verizon Wireless specification.

Act as a mentor to fault management (FM) Tier II Engineers on isolating complex problems and improving processes.

Contribute to the success of more than 200 LTE sites migrated per night from LTE Base Band Unit to LTE Airscale (FSM4) from September 2017 to present.

Remote Integration Test Center Engineer (September 2017 – November 2017)

Supported the 4G LTE Verizon Wireless project migrating Alcatel-Lucent 4G LTE eNodeB Base Band Units (BBU) to the Nokia 4G/5G LTE Airscale Flexi System Module (FSM4).

Provided Tier II Engineering support to Tier I Technicians and Field Installation Engineers for daily migration on the LTE Airscale (FSM4) and the Site Monitoring Module (SMM).

Controlled daily conference bridges for scheduled site installation migration, facilitated site assignment to Tier I Technicians and directed Field Installation Engineers to appropriate migration specialist.

Represented as technical lead to ensure approximately 50 sites were successfully installed and migrated within assigned region daily.

Executed pre-migration health checks on the LTE Base Band Unit, Radio Frequency Module, Antenna, and Backhaul Transport devices to guarantee all units were operational, alarm free, and processing data traffic in preparation for migration installation to the LTE Airscale (FSM4).

Trained RITC Technician on the LTE Base Band Unit, LTE Airscale (FSM4) and the Site Monitoring Module (SMM) utilizing the 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM), Network Element Manager (NEM), Network Service Platform (NSP), and the BTS Site Manager Application interfaces.

LTE Operations RAN Engineer (2013 - 2015)

Supported the 4G LTE Sprint Network Vision project from integration stage to commercial launch. Troubleshot, optimized and maintained sites to ensure LTE eNodeBs were operational for live traffic. Provided operations assistance to RF, Performance, Program Management, and field integration internal teams on various deployment and commercial maintenance activities.

Optimized and configured sites according to RF specifications to improve node statistics utilizing the Service Aware Manager (SAM), the Wireless Provisioning System (WPS) and Command Line Interface (CLI).

Upgraded software, applied delta configuration changes, and launched over 100 sites per month to the customer’s commercial network.

Configured Neighbor List, EDT (Electrical Down Tilts), and other call management parameters in accordance to RF Engineering requirements.

Assisted the Field Technicians with replacement of defective equipment and software problem resolution.

Identified and resolved connectivity and communication issue impacting call processing capacity for each site using the 7750 and 7705 Service Router.

Monitored and tuned approximately 25-50 sites a week that were ready to transition from integrated to commercial and assured that the call drop failures on those cell sites were less than 5% once handed to customer.
