(1) Ashima Denims Ltd., Ahmedabad. (Jul 1994 ~ Jul 1995) Designation : Trainee Engineer - Weaving

Job profile : I got this job through my college campus interview. This Textile mill was previously known as Mihir Textiles, which was one of the mills owned by Mafatlal Group. Later, Group Ashima took over it in the year 1994. After my joining, I worked in complete installation process of 56 Tsudakoma (Model: Za- 209-i, Japan make) Air-jet weaving machines. I also worked in installation work of Sucker + Muller sizing cum dyeing machine. I made its complete floor plan of installation. We worked in a team for 12 to 14 hours including Sundays during installation till 6 months after joining. I took care of shift activities e.g. production, maintenance, quality & workers management during my shifts in this Air-jet weaving dept. We produced Denim fabrics for suiting & shirting. As I got a chance in Reliance Industries Ltd. after a year, I changed my job for better prospects.

(2) Reliance Industries Ltd., Ahmedabad. (Aug 1995 ~ Dec 2003) Designation : Shift in Charge - Production

Job profile : I worked in Spun Yarn Preparatory dept. in which we used to produce weaver’s beams for Sulzer Weaving dept. I looked after production management of total 5 warping machines including 2 Beninger Ergotronic, 2 Beninger old models & 1 Indiquip warping machine. I took care of beams allotment planning from warping to sizing to weaving during my shifts. As I was interested in weaving from the beginning, I got a chance & transferred in Water-jet weaving dept. after 2 years. There were 280 Tsudakoma water jet weaving machines including single & double widths. More than half machines which were of double width were equipped with Staubly dobby & Jacquard. I looked after shift activities e.g. worker allotment, quality check of running fabrics on looms & also on fabric inspection machine, new beam getting, trouble shooting, dobby & jacquard pattern making & checking, mechanical setting of machines to be done before new beam started etc. Water-jet weaving dept. was closed in the year 2001 as company sold all machines to Faredeal Filaments Pvt. Ltd. at Karanj near Surat. I then transferred to Knitting Dept. There were 6 Liba flat bed warp knitting, 2 MSU weft insertion knitting machine & 1 RJG jacquard knitting machine, 8 Dornier DPLM double fabric knitting machines, 2 Karl Mayer beam warping machines, 5 Fukuhara circular knitting machines in this dept. I looked after production, maintenance, quality check, worker allotment etc. activities during my shifts. I changed my job from production to sales & marketing field in the end of year 2003 as I got chance in following company at Surat.

(3) ICC International Agencies Ltd., Surat. (Jan 2004 ~ Jan 2012) Designation : Sales Manager - Garment Machinery

Job profile : I joined as a Sales & Service Executive for Garment Embroidery Machinery at Surat branch office. I was in-charge of this branch & heading 6 service engineers; 1 accountant & 1 tempo driver in my team. I looked after sales of TAJIMA (Japan make) computerized Embroidery machines, SEIT (Italy make) Laser system for appliqué work on embroidery machines, Yoyao (China make) embroidery yarn & Embroidery machine spares. I attended "ITMA" exhibition in India & "JIAM Trade Show" an International exhibition at Singapore during my tenure. I sold 30 Tajima Machines worth of Rs. 11 crores to Mansi Embroidery & 07 Tajima Machines worth of Rs. 6.5 crores to Surya Industries at Surat. I changed my job location from Surat to Vadodara – my home town as I got chance in following company for marketing of textile processing chemicals.

(4) Zydex Industries, Vadodara. (Feb 2012 ~ Jul 2014) Designation : Dy. Marketing Manager

Job profile : I looked after marketing of specialty polymers/chemicals used in various processes of textiles, automotive fabrics, carpets back coating, non- woven fabrics, antimicrobial fabrics, shoe lace making & food packages lamination etc. I used to support R&D work for new product development in our lab. I returned back to Surat as I got job in textile machinery marketing.

(5) Sagar Powertex Pvt. Ltd., Surat. (Aug 2014 ~ Mar 2017) Designation : Sr. Sales Manager (Branch Head)

Job profile : I looked after sales of Toyota (Japan make) Air-jet weaving machines, UKIL (Korean make) beam warping machines & Dalal (India make) HTHP vertical yarn package dyeing machines in Surat. I headed team of 2 persons, 1 sales engineer for yarn sales & 1 peon for office work at Surat branch. We sold 100 Toyota Air-jet Machines (Model: JAT 810) to Anubha Denims Pvt. Ltd. during my tenure. I supervised installation of these machines till complete production set up. I took care of sales of machine spares, cotton yarns & denim fabrics. I came back to Vadodara to live with my family & tried following company which is dealing in non-textile industrial products.

(6) Industrial Enterprises, Vadodara. (Apr 2017 ~ Jun 2018) Designation : Sales Manager - Industrial Pumps & Valves Job Profile : I looked after sales of “Wilo Mather & Platt” make Industrial Water Pumps in Vadodara & Panchmahal districts. I also supported in sales of “Intervalve Poonawala” make Industrial Valves & NASH vacuum pumps. I took training to understand basics of pumps at our factories located in Puna & Kolhapur. I used to visit chemical & pharmacy companies mainly in & around Vadodara for sales work. I sold various pumps worth of Rs. 50 Lacs during my tenure of a year. As I really not enjoyed this job as I felt non-textile field jobs are not my cup of tea so decided to leave to try for a new job in Textile Industry. Therefore, I resigned & relieved in June 2018.
