PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE: A challenging Software QA Engineering position in a growing technology company. Being an advocate for the customer in system quality assurance is a passion I have enjoyed my entire career. Computer system research and development allows me to utilize my experience in component integration and product delivery. Automation of hardware and software verification for system development to increase quality is my specialty. Design and development of software test and processes in an R&D environment with advanced engineering resources is what I do best. CURRENT : Senior SW Test Automation Engineer with ASRC Federal for USDA NRCS - 11/2016 to now Using Selenium WebDriver with Java to develop Automation tests and tools. IBM Rational tools to translate Manual procedures into Automated tests was a challenge, as I created policies and procedures for a new lab. As a member of SCRUM team I represented QA in the Agile process. I created a REST API test scaffold to test Core Services and PowerShell to automate the test labs system administration. Lead Software QA Engineer with Booz Allen Hamilton working for USDA Forest Service - 1/2009 to 10/2016 I have been working in an Agile programing environment developing Selenium WebDriver automated system tests for a Java based contract management web application system for the Forest Service. I built the regression testing and tracking system spreadsheets to industry tools. Other technologies used were Toad, SQL Developer, Eclipse, Google Web Toolkit, Hibernate, Subversion, and Jenkins continuous build management, as well as, JIRA for defect tracking. I also managed the test team engineers and technicians providing designs, scheduling, mentoring and reporting. Consult PDC, LLC, Software Quality Assurance Engineer / Manager - 12/2007 to 12/2008 Design automated testing for an Intranet Application serving Premier Employment Search Services. An intranet application running on open source application server Zope and developed with Plone using Python and MySQL. I used Selenium and Zelenium to develop the automation necessary to test the web pages' workflows and database accuracy. The usability testing was captured using the record and playback functions of Selenium. Agile was the development method. EARLIER POSITIONS: Indicative Software, Quality Assurance Lead Engineer - 8/2005 to 12/2007 As lead QA Engineer in a startup company I performed as Player / Coach. The Agile team of engineers and interns I managed helped me grow my leadership skills. The diverse customer environments were replicated in the test lab; this helped me develop technically. I designed and developed Indicative's Quality Assurance automated test tools, tests and release policies, along with manual test development and execution procedures. LaserJet system test engineering lead for Multi-Function Products in Imaging and Printing Group for HP: This opportunity helped broaden my testing discipline for computer systems with multiple revisions of firmware, hardware and software. Testing across multiple operating systems and applications helped me broaden my scoping skills. The planning, tools development and process improvements helped me exercise my decision making. Software development engineer using J2EE architecture in Portal development for Digital Entertainment R&D Lab: Using Java and XML in conjunction with WebLogic and Oracle allowed for a typical N-tier architecture to be developed. Customer registration, music database searches and E-commerce were all made possible through a Portal. This included India Software Organization relationship management for development of Customer Portal testing. System test software development engineer using Visual Studios for HP Labs in Ft. Collins: The creation of a three level control system to manage the calibration of the HP Capshare was rewarding. This system controlled the Device Under Test imaging performance, a three axis motion stages on one table, and testing software for analysis of navigation data from both table and device. The OO design and GUI made the development easy. System performance and test engineer for HP Internet Appliances specializing in Web Cache development: Leading the HP Precision Architecture (HPPA) portion of CacheFlow’s CACHE OS software port to HP hardware was rewarding. The investigations into other Internet Appliances such as Secure WEB Servers and Network Attached Storage helped broaden my understanding of the Internet. Engaging CacheFlow in an inter-company porting / development effort was also a good exercise in partner management and deepened my understanding of HPUX internals. System integration and test lab manager for the 16-way NetServer Division product called Ancho: The investigation and compilation of a Tested Products List for this system’s interface components along with the analysis and implementation of testing tools with suitable lab infrastructure was successful and also rewarding. Partner manager and test engineer for HP R&D Lab developing Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS) on NT: I worked with America Megatrend (AMI) to produce acceptance criterion, testing procedures and communications to increase quality and delivery of firmware, user interface and management tools for the Disk Array Controller. Build, test and release manager for HP R&D Lab developing HPPA UNIX Workstations Firmware: The responsibilities for test automation, tools development and process improvements proved to an area where I was able to make a large impact. PERL was used in the Test automation decreased process feedback time, tools development increased accuracy of bug reporting and process improvements increased quality with consistent and repeatable procedures. I managed test technicians and coordinating lab resources with engineering staff. ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Team leader for the development of a static software code analysis tool like CSCOPE written in C++ using the Fusion Method of Object-Oriented Development. I helped train and mentor a group of CSU students in this effort. Published and presented "Scheduling in an R&D Environment" white paper to the 1994 (PMC) Project Management Conference in San Jose, CA. This paper was well accepted by the audience as it sparked the interests of many. Productivity and Quality Award from both Systems Technology Division and Networked Systems Group as a member of the Fast – Wide Logic Analyzer project (AWAX) design team in ESL. Deming Total Quality Control Award for Continuous Quality Improvements to HP Desktop Computer Division. HP Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification for Software Testing Methods and Process Engineering.
