Geriatric Personal Care Provider: 2010-Current (Towson, Maryland)
In this privately contracted position, I serve as a live in caretaker for a 97 year old client in order to keep her in her own home in comfort and safety. Services provided include:
Nutrition management: Provide high quality meal preparation with nutrient calculation and adherence to dietary restrictions when applicable.
Medication management: Organize clients multiple medications in advance for substitute caretakers; monitor medication inventory and contact doctors for refill prescriptions; contact pharmacy and pick up prescriptions and vitamins as needed.
Activity management: implemented light exercise routine appropriate to client’s limitations, Make client aware of upcoming activities at local senior centers; schedule and transport to events and appointments.
Household management: Daily residential cleaning, laundry, pet care, food and supplies shopping, as well as reporting any structural concerns, such as leaks or damage, to the clients family.
Personal care: Lift client after falls without assistance, applying edema leg wraps, take and log client’s blood pressure, wound care, weekly reporting to family members regarding client wellbeing and issues of concern.
Retail Sales Associate: 1998-2015 Caldron Crafts (Catonsville Maryland)
Customer service: Assisted customers with special orders, purchasing appropriate tools and supplies, class registration, jewelry design and manufacturing advisement, complaints, returns, and point of sale purchases in store and at trade shows.
Administrative: Developed and coordinated class registration log, end of day bookkeeping, teacher credit pay-out, postal mail sorting and filing.
Merchandising: Received priced and stocked merchandise; arranged displays in store, at trade shows and in display windows. Packed merchandise and loaded cargo van for trade shows. Heavy lifting of 50 + pounds.
