I am a smart ambitious young man, who has the energy and aspirations to grow in the hospitality industry and to one day own a world class restaurant.
I have nine years working experience as a waiter both in Zimbabwe, and South Africa’s very competitive restaurant sector. I have worked for fine dining restaurants in 5 star hotels including Holiday Inn, Victoria Falls Hotel located at the Victoria Falls resort in Zimbabwe, and Miekles Hotel in Harare. I currently work for Blu Hospitality Agency and am deployed at Something’s Cooking by J. Something located at Menlyn Maine in Tshwane South Africa. It is a restaurant that is predominantly Portuguese and blends with various African dishes that inspire the founder, J. Something.
Through training on the job I have grown to be a very competent waiter who can work in different work environments with different food cultures. My exposure enabled me to host and wait on guests from different countries and with different needs.
I am a good communicator with proficiency in the English language and work well as a team member. Due to its remuneration model which is commission based, the South African restaurant sector has trained me to be self motivated, have good work ethics, and a fast learner.
