Selected Career Highlights

Provided on the ground project business services and functioned as Project Controller for Fluor’s international projects in the Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Taiwan, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Ecuador.

Pioneered the coordination with Fluor Corporate Legal and Treasury, local counsel in Taiwan, and the Taiwan legal and banking entities to establish operations in the Republic of China (Taiwan); increased assets from zero to $12M for repatriation to the USA. Project was a grassroots LCD manufacturing facility for CORNING.

Served as finance and administration leader on an $898M copper mining project in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile; client was state owned entity CODELCO which is the largest producer of copper in the world.

Led Acquisition/transfer of technology and funds of a Joint Venture with ICA, Mexico’s largest construction company; researched Mexican tax laws and NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) terms and their effect on the acquisition. Director I, Project Business Services 2004 to 2010

Resurrected a dormant business entity and functioned as legal agent for Fluor in Taiwan; established the business license so that banking, payroll, accounting, financial reporting, and tax filings could advance.

Recruited and coached local personnel in Taiwan to launch the financial operations and headed a multi-national, multi-cultural work force; defined and developed procedures on the CORNING TAICHUNG LCD.

Monitored cash flow and prepared six-week cash projections on a petrochemical refining project in the Russian Federation; Active participation in implementation of SAP in two countries.
