Dear Hiring Manager:

Thank you for considering me for a position with your company. I look forward to using my skills and experience to advance the goals of the company.

To this position I will bring my passion and experience with writing, education, and ability to work well with others to get the job done.

Extensive experience working with technical experts, and SME’s to extract, adapt, and develop technical content for user guides, installation / repair manuals, logistics, facilities instructions (in university I worked for Facilities and understand what is needed to keep that department working well), and specification lists will ensure my successful completion of all documents. On most projects, I was under strict time limits. I have used illustration modifying software to prepare and insert 2D and 3D illustrations into technical manuals. Designing, developing, and distribution tools, such as standard operational procedures, reference guides, quick reference cards, standard workaround procedures and other documentation, using STE, are all part of my experience.

I have created, revised and removed documents from the work stream; including Standard Operating Procedures, Calibration and Preventive Maintenance Procedures, as well as Work Instructions, System Monitoring Checklists, User Manuals, policy instructions, and corporate guidelines.

Participating in, and often leading, weekly Status Reports and Metrics meetings on all Facility owned policies, guidelines and procedures has been part of my normal working procedures.

Developing, understanding, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with a variety of specifications, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, while following industry and governmental guidelines, is always an integral part of my projects.

I have 13 years' experience in technical writing; including writing and editing material for reports, manuals, briefs, specifications, instruction books, users' manuals, operating manuals, and uploading materials to SharePoint and WordPress for members of the team and public to read and benefit from.

The ability to work independently and well with others in a team environment has been one of the keys to successfully completing my technical writing and editing assignments. As well as being a peer editor looking to maintain quality and consistency across all documentation

I am a conceptual thinker, with both strategic and creative points of view. I look forward to using my love of writing and re-writing, developing text, precise editing quickness, research abilities, skills in training of international business people, along with using my extensive teaching experience, networking skills, and presentation skills, to complete each project on time. I enjoy writing marketing material, procedural manuals, and instructions that will help the company, its customers connect, and its employees in the loop. I always employ LEAN and Agile processes to assist in and insure work flow completion.

Through working and living internationally, I have experiences that I can bring to this position and use for the benefit of your company, its affiliates, and clients. I have been living and working in environments that are fast-paced and where priorities change frequently. I and am experienced in customer and client relations, project management, and inter-departmental coordination.

Thank you for considering me for a position,

Jonathan Hall
