•More than 20 years of progressive experience in operation and maintenance of Health Care Facilities compliance with JCIA, NFPA, OSHA, and SAES, this includes but not limited to building trade works, power distribution systems, fire alarm systems, internal communication systems, medical gases, BMS, utilities, HVAC, vertical and horizontal transports, critical and non-critical medical equipment etc.

•Responsible for supervision of maintenance activities with staff of 50 Multi-craft Maintenance crew, looking after more than 2000 pieces of medical and utilities equipment at Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization (SAMSO), Healthcare Facilities.

•Develops preventive maintenance programs, reviews engineering design documents, and proposes practical engineering solutions. Reviews manpower requirements and technical aspects of budgets and accountability.

•Ability to develop and review design packages including scope, drawings, sketches and material takeoffs for maintenance / renovation / modification / upgrading jobs of all aspects of building trades, equipment, services and systems.

•Plans, organizes, actuates and controls the hospital engineering department daily maintenance operation.

•Controls utility usage; manages the operation of energy management system.

•Supervises and coordinates all personnel of the daily activities engaged in the operation and maintenance of the hospital’s physical plant facilities and equipment; staffs schedules and manages performance issues.

•Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.

Surveyor – Facility and Life Safety, 1979 – 1993

Conduct compliance review and technical surveys for Saudi Aramco Medical Designated Facilities (MDF) kingdom-wide for physical plant and utilities and fire safety management.

•Designed and implemented a Hospital Surveyor Program which includes:

•Preparing work-sheets for subject matter experts (SME)

•Developed automatic scoring system

•Graphical presentation for each function

•Monitoring kingdom-wide MDF progress (Graphical presentation)

•Ensure that the state of the facilities complies with the defined referenced codes, standards and workmanship as dictated by OSHA, NFPA, and JCAHO.

•Administer, operate and direct the maintenance and repair of the physical plant, which includes Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization (SAMSO) facilities, equipment, mechanical and electrical systems.

•Advise SAMSO management about non-medical equipment procurement processes, such as standardization and selection, construction modifications and renovation of facilities.

•Specialized knowledge of building systems, utility systems, and fire protection systems (smoke detection and sprinklers).

•Conducted fire/safety inspections to various MDFs and attended emergency calls to investigate the issues and to give recommendations.

•Organized educational and training sessions in MDFs during the surveys.

Participate as an active speaker on the topic of Life Safety, and Interim Life Safety in ‘Environment of Care’ seminars organized by MDFD.
