Thermal barrier coatings Aug. 2016 - present

This project involves the study of thermal barrier coatings on paper substrate and to develop a heat model for the same


Simulation of Azeotropic distillation of ethanol water system Jan. 2014 - May 2014

The project involved obtaining high purity of ethanol using ethylene glycol as entrainer

The no. of stages were reduced from 22 to 20 in the extractive column and hence reducing the column height.

The position of feed was changed from 14 to 12 which in turn reduced the reboiler duty and hence reduction in the operating cost.

The feed temperature was optimised and kept at 25 ̊C and there by achieving maximum product purity of 99.71%.


Production of Ethanol Aug. 2013 - Dec. 2013

The project involved the plant design for production of ethanol by fermentation of molasses


Received travelship award from The Sherwin Williams Company to attend the American coatings conference, 2018, Indianapolis, IN.
